What is the KII® assessment?
The KII® assessment is the Keller Influence Indicator® which is designed to measure a person’s 7 influence traits that people use to impact themselves and others in everyday life. It provides a total influence potential score called the K-Factor® and 7 individual scores for each subscale; confidence, commitment, courage, passion, empowering, trustworthiness, and likeability. For example, you will get a score on how trustworthy or confident you are. The KII® is the only assessment on the market that measures your potential to be influential. It is scientifically designed according to psychometric test construction parameters. The KII® is used to establish a person’s strengths, weaknesses, blindspots, and competitive advantage with regard to how prepared they are to influence others.

What is the difference between influence and influential?
What is the difference between influence and influential?
Influence is typically represented by position, power, or authority. It has to do with the impact a person has on his/her own life and the lives of others because they have a certain control over someone. Influence is an external event or an external way of doing something. It occurs outside of you. On the other hand, influential is a state of being. It is an internal process that leads to having influence. Being influential is the beginning of lasting influence. People listen to you because of who you are, what you represent, and how you reveal yourself, not because you can demand or command a person to behave or think in a certain way through authority. Having influence requires that you say or do something, whereas, being influential means all you need to do is show up.

How should I interpret my K-Factor® score?
A high K-Factor® score does not necessarily guarantee a strong influence potential. There are several things that could interfere with a high K-Factor® score such as; laziness, no focus, and no interest. Just as a low K-Factor® score doesn’t not necessarily mean a low influence potential. On the contrary, a person with a low K-Factor® score may be highly influential because they are maximizing the most from each trait, meaning that increasing their K-Factor® score will result in even greater influence potential.

Can I fake my responses on the KII®?
The KII® is a self-assessment, which means you are the only one responsible to accuracy of your results. What will the KII® tell me that I don’t already know?
The KII® gives you information about yourself that you report as to how you really are. So in one sense it does not tell you anything you don’t already know about yourself. But knowing something and understanding something are two different things. Understanding something gives you the opportunity to begin correcting or enhancing skill sets and talents that will greatly change your life. Most people find that taking the KII® has open their eyes to a better picture of themselves than they originally thought existed. They have a better idea of why they are not achieving their goals, or which goals need to be raised. The KII® will tell you exactly what areas you need to pay attention to either maximize your strength or improve on a weakness. In other words, it’s how I want to be vs. how I really am.
